Lay Witness Sunday
Officially, the Connectional Lay Witness Day was designated for observance throughout the AME Church on the 2nd Sunday during the month of October, at the Eleventh Biennial Session, in 1969. Lay Witness Sunday provides laypersons with the opportunity to witness about their faith in Jesus Christ and their commitment to fulfilling His mission in the world.
This event was established for laypersons to carry out morning worship services at their respective local churches. Traditionally, Lay Witness Sunday recognizes the work and mission of all laity which takes place within and outside the walls of the AME Church.
The Quadrennial theme approved by the Connectional Lay Organization (2017-2021) is, “Laity Walking Humbly with God to Do Justice and to Love Kindness.” The scripture reference is “And what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8 NASB).

Por favor envia el nombre de la iglesia/organización, ubicación de la igleisa/organización, tiempo y lugar del predicador por el evento a ameclayorg@gmail.com antes del 15 de Septiembre, 2018.
Oficialmente, el Domingo de Testimonio Laico para el Concilio AME fue designado para su observancia el segundo domingo del mes de octubre, en la Undécima Convnecion BIenial en 1969. El Domingo de Testimonio Laico del Testimonio brinda a los laicos la oportunidad de dar testimonio de su fe en Jesucristo y su compromiso de cumplir. Su misión en el mundo. Este evento fue establecido para personas laicas para llevar a cabo servicios de adoración por la mañana en sus respectivas iglesias locales. Tradicionalmente, el Domingo de Testimonio Laico reconoce el trabajo y la misión de todos los laicos, que tiene lugar dentro y fuera de los muros de la Iglesia AME.
El tema cuatrienal aprobado por la organización Laical Connectional (2017-2021) es: Laicos Caminando humildemente con Dios para hacer justicia y amar la bondad con referencia a Miqueas 6:8 ( ¡Ya se te ha declarado lo que es bueno! Ya se te ha dicho lo que de ti espera el Señor: Practicar la justicia,amar la misericordia,y humillarte ante tu Dios. Miqueas 6:8)
