AME Member Installed as President of New Jersey Council of Churches
On Sunday, September 15, 2019, Mr. Marcus Burnett was installed as the president of the New Jersey Council of Churches (NJCC). He is the youngest person to ever serve in this position. He previously served as the organization’s Vice President.
Burnett is a member of Grant Chapel AME Church in Trenton and serves as the young adult representative of the First Episcopal District Lay Organization. The installation sermon was given by the Rev. Derrick Green, the spiritual advisor to the governor of New Jersey.
