While many will gather throughout the day to attend services of the seven last sayings of Jesus, people from near and far will convene at Ebenezer Methodist Church to begin their Walk to Calvary. This grand affair begins with a pre-service worship filled with local mime, song, worship, and dance. Upon conclusion of the word, presiding prelate of the 1st Episcopal District, Bishop Samuel Green, Sr. will open the production with a prayer. Immediately following, a grand re-enactment of Jesus’ last days before crucifixion will commence. Locals, friends, and family will take part as defenders of the law, followers of Jesus, disciples, and other key figures in this pivotal story. Thousands of people will line the streets throughout St. George’s, Bermuda, a UNSECO World Heritage Site, to witness key events that shaped Jesus’ ministry, culminating in his crucifixion.
