The Women’s Convention is a non-denominational Women’s program organised annually by the women of the African Methodist Episcopal Church in Ghana.
The program brings women from all walks of life to equip them spiritually, emotionally, psychologically, and physically. As part of the program, professionals are invited to give the women skills training. Over the years, we have learned the preparation of various products, including liquid soap, tile wash, pomade, ointment, spring rolls, bread, chips, and Cerelac, which most of the women use to make ends meet for themselves and their families.
The Women’s Convention, which has enabled most women to take care of their homes, is a legacy of one of the virtuous women of our time, the late Dr. Mrs. Elizabeth Dwomo-Fokuo, the late spouse of the Rev. Dr. Yaw Dwomo Fokuo, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ghana Annual Conference and PE Ashanti District. Though she is gone and awaits us in heaven, her children (Members of Women’s Convention) are making sure this great legacy remains. She was able to realize this dream with the help of Mrs. Dorothy Armah Koranteng and Madam Christiana Gyau—all of blessed memory.
The theme for the 2025 convention was “Empowered by Grace, Walking in Authority” (2 Cor. 12:9). About three hundred (300) women participated and benefited from the convention.
Woye Glory oooo! Woye Glory Paaaa!
