Saturday 23 August 2025 came as a bright and beautiful day for the 19th Episcopal District, Mangena Maake Mokone Memorial Conference Bela-Bela District. A day of growth and celebration as Bishop Wilfred Jacobus Messiah, Senior Bishop of the African Methodist Church dedicated two churches.
The two Churches, Bethel AME Church and Thaba ya Sinai AME Church pastored by the Rev. Sello Joseph Booysen located in Swartdam village, are about three kilometres apart, and part of the Jerusalema E Ncha Circuit. Bishop WJ Messiah started at the Bethel Church with the unveiling of the cornerstone and handing over ceremony liturgy. With all the nine (9) Churches in the District represented by their pastors, the Bishop proceeded to Thaba ya Sinai for the dedication and full service. He preached from 2 Chronicles 7:1, with the subject “A Godly Response to Godly Faith.”
The event ended with lunch served by the host Church to over 120 persons in attendance. To God be the Glory.
