Cape Town District Celebrates “Stars”

On Sunday, April 2, at the Anglican Church Hall in Athlone, the Cape Town District of the Cape Annual Conference gathered for a banquet to celebrate the membership of the District. Honorees were picked from pastors and lay, widows, and the “great cloud of witnesses,” who have gone from their labour in the vineyard to their reward. Presiding Elder Jerome Gordon declared, “I am proud to be associated with you. Thank you for making this “Honoring our Stars” Banquet a major success and that we could honour our retirees, widows, and lay members in grand style. Praise be to God!!!” It was indeed another red-letter day in the annals of the District and history of the African Methodist Episcopal Church in the Fifteenth Episcopal District.
