THIRD EPISCOPAL DISTRICT – The Third Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church announces Crystal E. Harris as an aspirant for Connectional Editor of the Wome n’s Missionary Society Magazine.
For more than three decades, the Women ‘s Missionary Society has been Harris’s spiritual home, training ground, and source of strength. She has seen missionaries bring faith into action in churches and communities around the world. Her aspiration is rooted in a conviction that their stories deserve to be told, celebrated, and preserved.
Harris has served at the local, area, conference, district, and connectional levels. Her service includes Connectional Life Member; District Second and Third Vice President; Conference Second and Third Vice President and Recording Secretary; Area W.M.S. Chairperson and Area Y. P.D. Director; and Local W.M.S. President . She also brings writing, editing, proofreading, design, publication production, and communications experience.
Harris envisions a magazine that reflects the living testimony of missionaries across all 20 Episcopal Districts . She hopes to highlight local, district, and connectional impact; feature missionaries across generations, including youth and young adults ; and build on the magazine’s foundation with content that informs, inspires, equips, and connects .

Guided by Habakkuk 2:2, Harris offers herself for service with gratitude for those who paved the way and enthusiasm for the stories yet to be told. The Third Episcopal District proudly presents her as an aspirant for Connectional Editor of the Women’s Missionary Society Magazine.
