Wesley AME Church Celebrates Community Sunday by Honoring Local Elected Officials

Wesley AME Church in Houston, Texas was blessed to have over 40 local Public Elected Officials from the Houston Metro Area with us in worship for Community Sunday. One of the senior elected officials, State Representative Alma Allen who is 80+ remarked that she had never been a part of a worship service that gave them awards, offered prayer, anointing oil, and a handwritten note of encouragement for each of them. Community Sunday is an ongoing part of Wesley’s outreach and service to the Houston Metro Community.
