Inaugural Activist Faith: Connecting Head and Heart Convocation June 27-28, 2018

This two-day convocation will gather the Adams-Coleman Williams Distinguished AME Scholars, members of the Talbot-Young Practical Theologians, local church and Episcopal district historians, and all interested AMEs. There will be interdisciplinary presentations and discussions on AME history, activism, liturgy and worship, theology, health, education, leadership, administration, ethics, and biblical studies focused on the Connectional Church’s Quadrennial themes. The projected outcome is to configure working groups to produce articles for The AME Review, books, and subsequent conferences of what AMEs believe and practice.
