Conn–M–SWAWO+PK’s Executive Board Meeting and Leadership Planning Retreat

The Connectional Ministers’ Spouses, Widows, and Widowers Organization Plus PK’s held its Executive Board Meeting and Leadership Planning Retreat on December 1-3, 2017, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Bishop Samuel Lawrence Green, presiding prelate; Supervisor Phyllis N. Green; Episcopal president, LeKesha Adams; and the entire Seventh District rolled out the red carpet. The group was charmed and welcomed with gifts and great food.

On December 2, 2017, the business session was held followed by engaging workshops which provided meaningful information and a great time of sharing. During our Empowerment Luncheon, officers who had served eight years were recognized for their service. Conn-M-SWAWO+PK’s elections were held and the following 2017 -2021 new officers were elected and installed: President, Lula Shaw Cleckley (7th Episcopal District); First Vice President, Anita Michelle Brannon (12th Episcopal District); Second Vice President, Dr. Cynthia Griffin (11th Episcopal District); Recording Secretary, Charmaine Alexander (6th Episcopal District); Assistant Recording Secretary, Nellie Alexander (11th Episcopal District); Correspondence Secretary, Shirley Saunders (1st Episcopal District); Treasurer, Irene Montague (2nd Episcopal District); Financial Secretary, Kinette Cager (5th Episcopal District); Parliamentarian, Jennifer Green (11th Episcopal District); PK Advisor, Lori Robinson (8th Episcopal District); and Worship Director, Mildred Swint (10th Episcopal District).

Just before closing our weekend retreat, Sunday morning dawned with an early worship and communion service. God’s Word was delivered by what seemed like a clean-up batter. Bishop Samuel Lawrence Green stood in the batter’s box and hit a home run making sure to touch all bases. Our souls were replenished.
