Exhale and be Free

My Spirit Set Free

“So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed” (John 8:36).

Woman of grace and glory, God so desires to set us free from the pain of our past. At times, we have all felt forsaken, abandoned, misunderstood, dumped on, dissed, and degraded but God was right there. God was there when you were forsaken by friends. Do you remember the baby who smiled at you when it seemed as if nobody cared? God was right there. In the midst of your pain and struggle, He sent a refreshing breeze on a hot summer’s eve. He caused the sun to shine on a cloudy day. He was right there. He kept you in your right mind. He stopped you from saying something or doing something that you would have regretted later. God was there.  Just when you thought all of life was bitter, you passed by a bakery and bought a piece of chocolate cake. God was there.

If you want healing in your soul right now and to be free from the pain and guilt of your past, soak your mind, memories, emotions, and wounded and weary heart in the healing and life-giving essence of God’s Word. Meditate on His Word both day and night! God’s Word works!

Trust God to do just what He said He would. Even if it means going to see a Christian psychiatrist, someone who has studied the human psyche but who still acknowledges that “perfect” peace can come only from God. By any Godly means necessary and by whatever it takes, avail yourself for healing, deliverance, and breakthrough.

Are you free indeed or does it just look like you are free? When you are free indeed, you won’t hold on to a 20-year grudge. When the Son has set you free, you won’t catch on fire with the Holy Ghost on Sunday and then burn in lust on Monday through Saturday. When you are free indeed, you can talk the talk and walk the walk. You can bless those who curse you and despitefully use you. My friend, exhale and be free.

Exhale! My present is the gift that God has given me this day. I release the episodes of my past that would assault the blessing of my present. I exhale. Yes, I am determined to be free.
