Baptisms in the Brazil District of the AME Church

It was only a promise and the Spirit of God moved in the dreams of Presiding Elder Paulo Mudesto Filho and Reverend Mirian Moraes Mudesto. The desire was to fulfill the mission—to impact lives through the Gospel of Christ Jesus, to make Disciples, to strengthen and to take care of families. Challenges were experienced since the beginning of this ministry almost three years ago. The signs of the will of God were intensifying, and manifested in the most varied forms; Prompting them to a decision: The beginning of the first African Methodist Episcopal Church in Brazil. And God said, “It is now!” And the promise came true.
Complying with the ordinances and sacraments of the Bible, we have performed Baptisms in our three churches: Malhada da Areia on the banks of the São Francisco River in Bahia, where Pastors Luiz Frederico and Luciana are. We have also baptized in Fazenda da Bica, Rio de Janeiro, lead by Pastor Carlos Alberto and his wife Selma. We also performed baptisms at our National Headquarters located in Realengo, Rio de Janeiro.

BATISMOS NO DISTRITO DO BRASIL DA IGREJA MEA-CCM

Um dia era apenas uma promessa, e o Espírito de Deus se movia nos sonhos dos Pastores Paulo Mudesto Filho e Mirian Moraes Mudesto. O desejo de cumprir a Missão, de impactar vidas através do Evangelho de Cristo Jesus, fazer Discípulos, consolidar famílias e cuidar delas; Desafios vividos desde o início do Pastorado. As sinalizações da vontade de Deus, foram se intensificando, e sendo manifestadas das mais variadas formas; os impulsionando para uma decisão: O inicio da primeira Igreja Metodista Episcopal Africana no Brasil. Então disse Deus: É agora! E a promessa se fez realidade. Cumprindo a ordenança de Jesus, a IMEA – CCM tem realizado Batismos em suas Igrejas: Malhada da Areia, às margens do Rio São Francisco – Bahia, onde estão os Pastores Luiz Frederico e Luciana. Temos Batizado também em Fazenda da Bica, Rio de Janeiro, onde está o Pastor Carlos Alberto e sua Esposa Selma. Realizamos também Batismos em nossa Sede Nacional, que fica em Realengo, Rio de Janeiro.
